Morgan Rogers has stepped up to defend Jordan Henderson, emphasising his physical fitness, professionalism, and footballing skills.
According to Rogers, doubts about the experienced midfielder's ability to perform at a high level due to age are not reflected in what he shows on the pitch.
“People said he was too old, but have you seen what he does? Everyone in the dressing room knows what he’s capable of. Honestly, he’s probably still the fittest player at the club. He’s a proper machine,” Rogers stated.
The player also stressed that Henderson's experience shouldn’t overshadow his playing ability. Rogers feels that while many see the midfielder as primarily a seasoned leader, they often overlook his skill on the ball.
“People forget about his footballing qualities because they just see him as an experienced player. But he can still play football. He’s already won everything you can win in this game,” Rogers added.
