Liverpool and Manchester United are eyeing a transfer for 21-year-old Como winger Assan Diop as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. Como is open to selling the player for approximately €50-55 million.

Liverpool splashed the cash this summer to bolster their attack, bringing in Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz.

However, the Reds are still searching for a right winger, particularly following the exit of Mohamed Salah.

Now, the Merseysiders have set their sights on 21-year-old Assan Diop from Italian club Como. The Senegalese winger has also caught the attention of Manchester United.

Reports from 4-4-2.ch detail the interest in Diop, whose impressive performances have seen him monitored by several Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Newcastle, Everton, and Brentford.

Serie A side Atalanta has been tracking Diop since his arrival at Como, while Roma also believe in the forward's capabilities.

So far, Como haven’t received any concrete offers for the player, who is under contract until 2029.

Como currently aren't feeling any financial pressure to sell, especially as they are participating in the Champions League this season. A transfer fee of around €50-55 million would be required for Diop.

This valuation makes him a more feasible option compared to other targets Liverpool are considering.

His versatility allows him to play across various attacking positions, and the Reds are keen to execute the transfer before their rivals.
