Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has dismissed external criticism regarding his side's lacklustre form after they drew 1-1 with Fulham.
In a post-match interview with BBC, the United boss emphasised his focus on improving the club's performance:
The noise around the team doesn't affect me. The only thing that really concerns me is our collective desire to achieve better results.
We need to pick up more points. Sometimes the game doesn't go in your favour, and we are currently going through a phase where small issues are turning into serious problems.
We certainly do not believe everything is working perfectly. We must win football matches. The fans supported us magnificently today, and we owe it to them to give them reason to be proud of the team.
Manchester United's start to the season has been incredibly challenging, with Carrick's side managing just five points from their opening five Premier League matches, leaving them languishing in 12th place as they head into the international break.
