Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville did not hold back in his critique of the team following a disappointing spell in the second half of their clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage (1-1).
The pundit was incensed by the players' utter passivity right after the break, which allowed the Londoners to take a deserved lead. Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville was visibly fuming:
I’ve been watching Manchester United since I was five years old, and that was the worst 15 minutes I have ever seen from them.
It was absolutely pathetic. They were just strolling around the pitch for 15 minutes, and in football, you always get what you deserve. Maybe there’ll be some kind of reaction, but I’ve never seen such complete unwillingness to fight for 15-20 minutes like that.
What must Michael Carrick be thinking right now? He probably can’t believe his eyes after witnessing that 15-20 minute slump.
The Manchester side managed to salvage a point thanks to a late strike from Matheus Cunha, saving them from what would have been a humiliating defeat.
