Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has shared his thoughts on Bradley Barkley's transfer to Liverpool. The Spaniard revealed that one of the key reasons for the winger's departure was his need for more game time.
Liverpool completed the signing of the 23-year-old Frenchman at the end of the summer transfer window for £106 million, with an additional £17 million in potential bonuses.
Luis Enrique stated:
Bradley has really developed during his time in Paris, but he has also significantly contributed to making our team stronger. He wanted more playing time, which I couldn't guarantee him.

In recent seasons, competition for attacking spots at PSG has been fierce. In high-stakes matches, Luis Enrique often opted for his trio of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, and Desiree Due.
At Liverpool, Barkley is set to take on a much more significant role. Reds manager Andoni Iraola has already confirmed that the French winger was a priority signing for the club and could make his debut in the upcoming match against Ipswich.
