Manchester City were prepared to shell out up to €100 million for Bayern Munich midfielder Alexander Pavlovich. However, the 22-year-old has shown no desire to leave the Munich club.
According to Sport1, which corroborates earlier reports from Bild, City first registered their interest back in March. The English club viewed Pavlovich as a strong option to bolster their midfield and were ready to make a significant offer.
Despite the tempting bid, the midfielder was not keen on a switch and has chosen to continue his career in Munich.
Following Pavlovich's decision, Manchester City shifted their focus to other targets. Over the course of the summer transfer window, the club has strengthened their midfield with the signings of Enzo Fernandez, Elliot Anderson, and Ayoub Bouaddi.
Pavlovich remains in Munich, with his current contract at Bayern running until 2029.
