Jamie Carragher stated that Djoekereš will never displace Havertz from Arsenal's starting eleven. The expert believes that only a world-class forward capable of scoring 30 goals and doing a lot of off-the-ball work could replace the German.

Jamie Carragher believes Viktor Djoekereš will find it extremely difficult to displace Kai Havertz from Arsenal's starting line-up.

The Swedish player made his season debut by coming off the bench in the 78th minute in Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Havertz started the match, scored the opener for the Gunners, and contributed to the build-up for Martin Ødegaard's winning goal.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher stated:

To displace Kai Havertz from this team, you need one of the world’s best players. It has to be someone on the level of Ian Wright, who guarantees 30 goals a season, or Thierry Henry. Djoekereš will never take Havertz’s place. Never.

He further added:

Havertz is more about unlocking his teammates than being a prolific goalscorer. The question is whether Saka and other wide players can find the net more often — like Salah and Mane did when Firmino was leading the line.

After the match, Mikel Arteta also praised Havertz, highlighting not just his goals but his all-round contribution to the team:

He looks happy and settled. He is scoring, but it's not only about that — he is doing an amazing job for the team.
