Fulham are in discussions with Elche regarding the potential transfer of centre-back David Affengruber. The London club is seeking a quick defensive option to align with the philosophy of manager Alvaro Arbeloa.
According to Sky Sports journalist James Cole, the 25-year-old Affengruber is among the transfer targets for Fulham. Earlier this year, he made his debut for the Austrian national team, having played just one match so far.
Simultaneously, Fulham is also working to strengthen their midfield. They are currently undergoing medical examinations for Manuel Angel from Real Madrid and Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt. The deal for Angel is expected to cost around £21.5 million, while Larsson’s transfer would be a little over £4 million.
The Londoners are also keen to add a right-back to their ranks, which could pave the way for Kenny Tete to move to Everton.
