Seventeen-year-old forward Floyd Samba emerged as the standout player in Manchester City's League Cup clash with Norwich, scoring twice in a dominant 5-0 victory.
Manager Enzo Maresca handed Samba a starting role as a central striker in place of the resting Erling Haaland. The young talent opened the scoring with a header following a cross from Allan, before netting a stunning effort with a curled shot.
Alongside Samba's brace, Ryan Cherki, Allan, and Ryan McAdoo also found the back of the net.
Samba revealed that Maresca had briefed him on some upcoming tactical shifts ahead of the match.

The young forward also shared that he studies the playing style of the team's main attacking threat, Haaland.
When the ball was coming to Allan, I knew I had to be alert. Watching players like Erling, you see he's always ready for the next ball. So I had to be prepared to get my head on it. I knew when I got the ball in the second incident that I needed to track back, as the opposition had no options. I realised there was space around me, and as soon as I got into that area and struck it, there was a good chance of scoring.
