Benjamín Šeško believes Manchester United must learn from their missed victory against Everton. The forward scored in the 88th minute after coming on, but the hosts equalised in the 96th minute – 2-2.
The 23-year-old Šeško has only just returned from injury, which kept him out of United's entire pre-season preparations.
After the match, the striker commented:
We can always improve, but I think we controlled the game as well as we could overall. Towards the end, we lost a bit of control, but that happens. We’re here to learn and get better.
Speaking about the final moments of the game, Šeško highlighted Everton's intensity:
Especially in the last minutes, they were very active. We tried to give our all and block every shot.
By the way, the goal was magnificent – the ball flew into the top corner. We need to accept it and respond in the next match.
Šeško also emphasised the competition within Manchester United's squad:
We have a lot of good quality players, which is very important for this club. Each of us must do everything for the team and for victories. That's why we’re here.
