According to reports, Arsenal have begun preliminary negotiations with Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli for a potential player exchange.
As part of the deal, Viktor Gyökeres is set to move to the Saudi league, while Ivan Toney would make the switch to the Emirates.
Gyökeres joined Arsenal from Sporting Lisbon last summer for a hefty £64 million. However, the Swedish forward has found himself on the sidelines this season, struggling for regular game time in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old has made 37 appearances and scored 21 goals for the Swedish national team, showcasing his potential.
With his current contract with Arsenal running until 2030, the lack of playing opportunities might drive the forward to consider a change of scenery and reinvigorate his career elsewhere.
