Wolverhampton Wanderers, relegated from the Premier League, and Mexican club Necaxa are keeping tabs on Lugano forward Derek Moncada.
The 18-year-old striker has already found the net five times since his summer switch to the Swiss league.
Wolves had shown an interest in Moncada last summer before the youngster opted for a move to Switzerland's Super League. Necaxa, on the other hand, is familiar with the player's capabilities due to their shared ownership with his former Colombian club, Internacional de Bogota.
As it stands, neither party has initiated formal negotiations. It is expected that Moncada will finish the current season at Lugano, where he has a long-term five-year contract.
The Swiss club is hoping to earn over €10 million from the eventual transfer of the forward.
The player has already made four appearances for the Honduras national team.
According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €2.5 million.
