Mings acknowledged that away matches in the Premier League are always tricky, particularly against a team like Hull that has started the season strongly. He noted that Villa anticipated a tough battle, filled with physical duels and the need to be patient for their chances.
Although Villa created some promising opportunities, they were unable to find the net. Mings also credited Hull for their threat in front of goal, indicating the contest was competitive.
For Mings, keeping a clean sheet was especially significant. He views the point earned away from home as a valuable result, particularly after the substantial changes within the squad over the summer.
“We’ve brought in some fantastic players, and the new squad needs time to gel. As a centre-back, I’m pleased we managed to keep a clean sheet,” Mings noted.
