30-year-old Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish has pinpointed his top choice for continuing his career. If he does leave the Citizens before the transfer deadline, he is keen to make a return to Everton, as reported by BBC Sport.
So far this season, Grealish has made two appearances off the bench, but new Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca is open to selling or loaning the Englishman before Tuesday's deadline. Last season, the winger spent time on loan at Everton, where he scored two goals and provided six assists in 20 matches, before suffering a serious foot injury in January.
According to sources within the Manchester club, there have been no formal offers for Grealish yet. However, Everton's executive director, Angus Kinnir, confirmed on BBC Radio Merseyside that there has been ongoing communication with Grealish:
Jack is here with us. While he is with us, it's my duty to help him show his best. In the next four to five days, we will see what happens. I talk to Jack almost every day,
said Enzo Maresca, the manager of Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are expressing serious interest in 26-year-old Senegalese winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, who has turned down several contract extension offers on Merseyside. Previously, the player rejected a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. David Moyes' side are under no financial pressure as Ndiaye's contract runs until 2029, and they plan to demand at least £70 million for his transfer.
