Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner was left furious following the goalless draw against Tottenham. The encounter at the City Ground ended in a stalemate.
In a turning point on the 66th minute, the referee disallowed a late winner for the hosts.
“It feels like we’ve dropped two points because I’ve reviewed several moments, and I think the goal should have stood. I believe VAR shouldn't intervene when it’s merely guessing. It wasn't a clear and obvious error,” Glasner said.
“Before the season, we had a briefing where they told us that the threshold for VAR intervention should be very high, and for me, this was an incorrect intervention. In such situations, you undermine the authority of the referees,” the manager added.
Neco Williams was equally adamant, insisting that the ball had bounced off his head and hadn’t touched his hand.
Throughout the entire 90 minutes, Tottenham failed to register a single shot on target.
Consequently, the Nottingham Forest players were left extremely disappointed with only a point to show for their efforts.
