Former forward Djibril Cisse has urged Liverpool not to lose hope in their pursuit of the Premier League title. He also believes Brighton could become an unexpected contender for the crown.
Andoni Iraola's side have won their last three matches across all competitions. Following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brentford, the Merseysiders have climbed to fifth in the table.
Cisse has a high opinion of the team's potential.
I think this year we have a real chance to win the Premier League title alongside Arsenal and Manchester City.
The Frenchman compared Brighton's impressive start to the famous championship season of Leicester. According to him, the Seagulls will become serious contenders if they can defeat Liverpool.
Cisse also backed Florian Wirtz, calling the German a fantastic player and expressing confidence that the midfielder will return to his best form.
