Nico Pas tears apart Manchester United: why the team struggled with the space around him
The heavy defeat for Manchester United against Como (1-4) has exposed systemic issues in the team's defence. The simplest explanation for Nico Pas's standout performance is that the Red Devils simply failed to apply adequate pressure on him. Harry Maguire left him with too much space before the first goal, while Pas later provided an assist for Tasos Douvikas. However, simply closing down the opponent does not constitute a solid defensive strategy.
