The 30-year-old English midfielder made a significant impact during his time on Merseyside, although his season ended on a sour note due to an unfortunate foot injury. This summer, Grealish has been heavily linked with a return to Goodison Park, but the Toffees are facing stiff competition. Sunderland have shown interest, while reports suggest that Aston Villa might also be weighing up a move for him.
When asked if Everton are poised to reunite with the player, the Scottish manager responded cautiously:
We haven't made any final decisions on this matter yet.
We are focusing on scouting and looking to strengthen the squad with new players where possible. It would be wrong to name just one player at this stage.
