15-Second Brief
Expert Chris Sutton has predicted Liverpool will suffer a home defeat to Brighton with a scoreline of 1-3. The former Chelsea player believes Andoni Iraola's team will extend the Reds' winless run at Anfield to six months due to defensive issues.

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has shared his prediction for the Premier League match between Liverpool and Brighton.

This Sunday marks exactly six months since Liverpool's last home victory in the league at Anfield. Manager Andoni Iraola's side will be facing a Brighton team that is in scintillating form.

The Seagulls have won their last four Premier League matches with an astonishing aggregate score of 15-0, including a thumping win over Arsenal.

In his column for BBC Sport, Sutton delivered a grim forecast for the home side.

Liverpool have an extra 48 hours to prepare for this game – they played at home against Villarreal on Tuesday, while Brighton are away in the Czech Republic on Thursday.

I don’t think this will make any difference, though, as given how Brighton are playing, I expect them to go to Anfield and take the points.

This could be a great match, but while Liverpool have had a couple of decent results, I'm still not convinced by them. Iraola's team has a tendency to expose the midfield, which means Brighton could really hurt them.

Sutton predicts an away win for the Seagulls with a scoreline of 3-1.

It’s set to be a challenging outing for the hosts. They will miss the injured Dominik Szoboszlai and Hugo Ekitike, with the availability of Victor Munoz and Bradley Barcola still uncertain.

Liverpool's defence appears shaky, having conceded 10 goals in their last four matches. Meanwhile, Brighton have already scored 23 goals in the current Premier League season.
