Chelsea are looking to secure one of Italy's brightest young defensive talents.

According to renowned insider Nicolo Schira, the Blues are preparing to send an official transfer proposal to Atalanta for 18-year-old defender Onest Ahanor.

The club has already devised a long-term integration plan for the young Italian talent within the BlueCo setup: a contract is in the works that will run until June 2033, extending for seven years.

As part of their development strategy, it is expected that after securing the player's rights, he may be loaned out to French side Strasbourg for a season, allowing him to gain regular first-team experience in Ligue 1 until June 2027.
