Chelsea have advanced in negotiations with Atalanta for Honest Ahanor. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the London club has already agreed to personal contract terms with the 18-year-old defender.

The personal terms with Ahanor have been agreed, and the relationship between the clubs has improved following their deal for Marco Palese.
Chelsea are working on the transfer and are currently weighing up the best path forward for Ahanor.
Talks regarding Ahanor commenced earlier this week, with Romano mentioning that Chelsea view the young defender as a future investment.
However, the deal is not yet finalised. Atalanta's sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, stated on August 26 that the club had not yet received any official proposals for Ahanor but are open to considering incoming options.
