Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Carlos Baleba. The Cameroonian midfielder has penned a contract until June 2031 with an option for an additional year.
The 22-year-old Baleba makes the move to United after catching the eye during his time at Brighton, where he emerged as one of the most promising young midfielders in the Premier League.
Last season, the Cameroon international featured in 31 matches in the Premier League, playing a key part in helping Brighton qualify for the UEFA Conference League.
According to Manchester United, Baleba ranked in the top 8% of players in the league for total tackles and interceptions, and he also placed in the top 1% for successful aerial duels.
His contract with United is set for five years, with the option to extend for another year, potentially keeping him at the club until the summer of 2032.
