The transfer of 30-year-old England international and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal has been fully agreed and finalised.
The clubs resolved all the particulars of the deal, with a total financial package amounting to €60 million (€58.4 million as guaranteed fixed payment plus €2 million in achievable bonuses).
The English forward has given his consent to a long-term contract with the Riyadh-based club, running until the summer of 2030, and is set to fly out to Saudi Arabia for a medical examination and final presentation.
Watkins' sale has triggered a significant domino effect in the transfer market: the funds from his transfer will be immediately reinvested by Aston Villa in signing Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson as his direct replacement in Unai Emery's system.
