The list of 30 nominees for the 2026 Ballon d'Or will be unveiled on Tuesday, 8th September. The official announcement will take place between 11:00 and 16:00 Central European Time on Ballon d'Or platforms.
This year’s nominees will include the 30 top footballers vying for the prestigious annual individual accolade. Alongside this announcement, nominees in various other categories will also be revealed, including the women's Ballon d'Or, best young player, best goalkeeper, manager of the year, top scorer, and club of the year.
The intrigue around this year’s list is particularly high, with leading contenders like Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Rodri, Michael Olise, Lionel Messi, and several other global football stars expected to feature.
The awards ceremony will take place on 26th October in London. The winner of the men's category will succeed last year's winner, Ousmane Dembele. This will mark the 70th awarding of the Ballon d'Or.
