Robert Sanchez has arrived in Italy for a medical ahead of his loan move from Chelsea to Como. The clubs are finalising the deal, which includes an option for a permanent transfer. Chelsea have signed Emiliano Martinez as his replacement.
Chelsea’s goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has arrived in Milan to complete a medical ahead of his move to Como. The loan deal for the 28-year-old Spanish keeper includes an option for a permanent transfer.
According to BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea have opted to part ways with Sanchez following a poor display in their opening match of the Premier League season against Fulham.
Shortly after, the London club secured the signing of Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa for £7.5 million, effectively replacing Sanchez in the squad.
If the transfer goes through, Sanchez will link up with former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas at Como, who will also be competing in this season's Champions League.
