Bournemouth manager Marco Rose expressed satisfaction with his team's display after their impressive 3-0 win. Speaking to TNT Sports, the German tactician praised the defensive solidity and the players’ commitment while emphasizing the need for his squad to maintain this standard.
«Yes, this is exactly what I wanted. A good game, a clean sheet, right mentality, and commitment. This is a deserved victory. Now we need to continue in the same vein and achieve stability. Our next challenge is against Sunderland,» stated Rose.
The coach underscored his belief in the team, despite their challenging position in the Premier League. He noted that even during tough spells, the players remain confident, and the rotation in the last match showcased the squad's depth.
«I believe in this team. We maintain our confidence, even when the situation in the Premier League is tough. Today, we also allowed other players to participate. It’s clear the team is working hard; everyone wants to be on the pitch and deserves playing time. This competition within the squad will be beneficial in the upcoming weeks,» added the coach.
Rose admitted that one good result is not enough:
«Today we won 3-0 — it’s an excellent outcome from a strong performance. But now we must prove we can deliver this kind of football on a regular basis.»
He specifically praised Alvaro Rodrigues, noting the striker has made significant improvements over the last three weeks. The forward has been diligently working on his individual skills during the international break, and his progress was reflected in his goal during the match.
Finally, Rose emphasized the importance of the fans' support and team unity. He believes that when the players operate cohesively and feel the backing of the crowd, Bournemouth becomes a challenging opponent. This is the mentality the team needs to carry into their next match against Sunderland.
