15-Second Brief
Como have no right or obligation to buy Robert Sanchez from Chelsea. The goalkeeper remains a backup to Jean Bute and had a disastrous second match for the club, scoring an own goal. The Londoners plan to sell him in the summer.

Italian club Como currently have no option or obligation to purchase Spanish goalkeeper Robert Sanchez at the end of his loan deal with Chelsea. According to the Daily Mail, the London side will need to enter fresh negotiations for a permanent transfer should the Italians wish to retain the player.

As it stands, the 28-year-old's future in Serie A looks bleak. Under the hierarchy of Como's head coach, Cesc Fabregas, Sanchez finds himself as the second-choice keeper behind Jean Bute. He recently endured a nightmare in his second match for the club against Feyenoord, where he not only scored an own goal but also conceded a close-range effort in a 3-2 defeat.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are determined to part ways with Sanchez next summer. The London club have already mapped out their goalkeeping lineup, with Emiliano Martinez entrusted as the first-choice keeper, while Mike Penders is being viewed as the club's long-term option between the sticks.
