Getafe have made an official request for free agent Jadon Sancho. The 26-year-old former Manchester United, Chelsea, and Aston Villa player is weighing up the club's offer despite the financial complexities of the deal.

Spanish side Getafe have taken steps to secure the signing of 26-year-old English winger Jadon Sancho. According to Sky Sport Germany reporter Patrick Berger, the La Liga club has submitted an official request for the player.

Sancho has been a free agent since the summer when his contract with Manchester United expired. The winger has not taken to the pitch for the Red Devils since the 2024 FA Community Shield, spending the last two seasons on loan at Chelsea and Aston Villa.

Getafe already made headlines in the free agent market with the signing of experienced defender Dani Carvajal, who has joined on a one-year deal.

The potential transfer of Sancho is regarded as more complex due to the player's high financial wage demands. Nevertheless, the winger is not ruling out a move to Spain and is currently in discussions with his representatives over the offer.
