Manchester United are set to host Ipswich on August 30 for their first home fixture of the Premier League season at Old Trafford. Michael Carrick's men will be eager to redeem themselves following a less-than-stellar start.
In their opening match, United suffered an unexpected 2-0 defeat against Hull City. In contrast, Ipswich kicked off their season with a victory over Fulham and recently triumphed over Leicester in the League Cup.
However, Ipswich now face the challenge of less recovery time after their cup match, while United players have enjoyed a full week to prepare.
United, unfortunately, have some significant injury concerns. Tom Heaton, Matthijs de Ligt, Mason Mount, and Manuel Ugarte are all sidelined for the match. Adding to their woes, new signing Carlos Baleba will miss around two weeks due to an ankle injury.
Ipswich’s Gary O’Neil, on the other hand, will be without Azor Matusiva and Florentine Luis.

Historically, since the turn of the millennium, Manchester United have faced Ipswich seven times in the league, winning five of those encounters, with the other two ending in draws.
Last season, both teams scored in 13 of United's 19 home matches, with the Red Devils managing to keep a clean sheet only four times at Old Trafford.
