21-year-old defender Kaleb Wiley, who represents both Chelsea and the USA national team, is set for another loan move within the English Football League (EFL). This comes as reported by the authoritative outlet The Athletic.
One of the primary contenders for the American full-back is West Ham United. The Hammers' current first-choice left-back, El Hadji Malik Diouf, is in the process of transferring to Brentford.
If Diouf exits, Wiley could become a vital option on the left flank, especially with young academy graduate Olly Scarlz as the only other specialist available. With his existing experience in senior football, Wiley can provide the immediate depth and reliability that the Hammers are seeking.
Wiley joined Chelsea in July 2024 and is under contract until 2030. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €8 million, and aside from West Ham, both Derby County and Millwall have expressed interest in taking him on loan.
