Sunderland continues to pursue the transfer of Tottenham defender Kevin Danso. According to BBC Sport's senior football correspondent Sami Mokbel, the clubs are in discussions over a loan deal that includes an option for Sunderland to buy the player.
Initially, Tottenham turned down Sunderland's first proposal for the Austrian defender. However, following some back and forth, the clubs explored the possibility of a permanent transfer. Now, the focus has shifted back to a loan agreement with a buy option ahead of the next season.
Tottenham are understandably reluctant to let the 27-year-old leave until they have found a suitable replacement.
One option for manager Roberto De Zerbi is Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea, with reports suggesting that Tottenham has already commenced work on a potential transfer for the English defender.
