My performance? A bit ropey. In the first half, we struggled to find space, and I wasn't at my best. I need to show that I want to play and score. Next time I want to share the ball more with my teammates.

Reflecting on his first goal of the season and a new chapter for Manchester City, Cherki added:

I'm really pleased with the win. See you next week. There was a big story with Pep Guardiola, now we’re starting a new one. We want to prove what we’re capable of, and that's why we're here.
