15-Second Brief
Manchester City captain Ruben Dias stated that the team is focused on progress following their first Premier League defeat to Aston Villa (2-1), promising to take it one match at a time.
Manchester City captain Ruben Dias has commented on the team's first defeat of the Premier League season, as the Citizens were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa at Villa Park.
The match proved challenging for Pep Guardiola's side. Villa's hero was forward Nicolas Jackson, who scored twice. Erling Haaland found the net, marking his ninth goal of the season to level the score, but Jackson quickly restored Villa's lead, leaving City unable to recover.
Despite the end of their unbeaten run, Dias remained confident in the team's ability to learn from this setback:
We are taking it step by step. There is still a long way to go. We know we can always improve, and that’s where our focus lies. We take it match by match, trying to give our best each time.
