Portuguese winger Pedro Neto has made an impressive start to the 2026/27 Premier League season, becoming a crucial player for Chelsea under manager Xabi Alonso. Neto, operating as a wing-back, has been given the freedom to attack while also fulfilling his defensive duties effectively.
In a recent match against Everton, Neto scored a brace, leading Chelsea to a 2-0 victory. The Portuguese international has already netted three goals in seven league matches this season.
Neto's main objective this season is to surpass his previous record of five goals in a single Premier League campaign. This ‘curse’ has haunted him since his arrival in England, first with Wolverhampton and then Chelsea, where he scored four goals in the 2024/25 season and five last term.
With 31 league matches still to go this season, Neto has ample opportunity to secure at least three more goals to establish a new personal best.
