Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has issued a stern warning to his players ahead of a crucial Premier League clash against Bournemouth, which could be decisive for his tenure at Old Trafford.
Reflecting on the team's recent disappointing results, Carrick stated:
This pains me greatly, but it doesn’t stop me. There's a big difference. This pain serves as pure motivation and inspiration to want more, expect more, work for more, and steer us back in the right direction.
The Reds' boss expressed confidence that the team is capable of turning their fortunes around:
It sometimes seems like a distant goal, but it doesn't take much for things to flip, and we are more than capable of that. I fully believe we will do this and that we will start winning matches.
At the same time, Carrick emphasised the need for complete commitment from his players and a shared understanding of his values. When asked whether he believes the players care for the club as deeply as he does, he replied:
Yes, I believe it 100%. If not, then this place is not for you.
