Manchester United are set to continue their pursuit of Leicester City midfielder Luis Page.
The clubs attempted to strike a deal for the 18-year-old on the final day of the summer transfer window, but they couldn't agree on a fee in time.
According to ESPN, the Manchester side maintains a strong interest in the young talent and is expected to make a fresh offer once the winter transfer window opens in January.
The club hierarchy is ready to sign Page and then loan him back to Leicester, allowing him to continue his development with regular playing time. United's manager Michael Carrick is keen for the player to maintain his game time and not hinder his progression.
Last season, Page made 21 appearances for the senior Leicester team, and he has been a regular feature at the start of the current campaign.
Sports Illustrated adds that the midfielder has started in Leicester's last three matches and remains a crucial part of the team's plans this season.
