Manchester United and Tottenham are keeping a close eye on Club Brugge's forward Nicolo Tresoldi. According to TEAMtalk, representatives from both English clubs attended Tuesday's match in Belgium against Aston Villa to personally assess the 22-year-old striker.
Brugge suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat, but Tresoldi shone, scoring one of their two goals from the penalty spot.
The German striker moved to Brugge from Hannover, last season netting an impressive 23 goals. His performances have caught the attention of several European clubs. Reports suggest that Barcelona held talks over a potential summer transfer, but the player opted to remain in Belgium.
Manchester United failed to sign a new striker during the summer transfer window and continues to weigh up options to bolster their attack. The future of Joshua Zirkzee at Old Trafford is uncertain, especially as the Mancunians are reluctant to let him go without securing a replacement first.
During their trip to Belgium, United officials also kept an eye on Brugge's left-back Joaquin Sosa, who had already drawn interest from the club over the summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are also interested in Tresoldi. Manager Roberto De Zerbi aims to strengthen their striking options, particularly following Richarlison's omission from the Premier League squad, which has heightened the search for a forward.
