Liverpool have reached a crucial agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer of 23-year-old winger Bradley Barcola. The transfer fee is set at around £120 million (approximately €140 million), making him the second-most expensive signing in the history of the Merseyside club.

Agreement details and team restructuring
PSG initially aimed to sell the winger for around £145 million, but negotiations through the night saw a fee of £120 million agreed. The Parisians will receive over £100 million guaranteed, while the remainder is structured as bonuses based on individual and team successes. A percentage of any future resale will also go to Lyon, the club that developed the player. Barcola declined to extend his contract with PSG and was not included in the squad for their first Ligue 1 match.
The Frenchman has become a key transfer target for Liverpool following the free departure of Mohamed Salah. New Reds boss Andoni Iraola is urgently reshaping his attacking line due to Salah's exit and a serious Achilles injury to Hugo Ekitike.
The transfer window in England shuts on Tuesday, 1 September. For Barcola to make his debut on Saturday against Nottingham Forest, the club must complete registration by 12:00 on Friday British time. Missing the deadline would see him make his first appearance after the break in an away match against Ipswich. Earlier this summer, Liverpool signed Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacques, loaned in Ronald Araujos, and sent Ifeanyi Ndukwe out on loan. The signing of Barcola will push the club’s total spending since the end of the 2024/25 season to over £663 million.
