Liverpool have made impressive progress in securing the signings of Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcola has already agreed to personal terms, while Mbaye has finalised a five-year deal.
Notably, French journalist Fabrice Hawkins reveals that Mbaye chose to join the Reds over a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
Negotiations between Liverpool and PSG are expected to gain momentum in the coming days.
The financial demands from the Parisians have considerably lessened; they initially sought around £145 million for Barcola, but that figure has now dropped to approximately £120-125 million.
Meanwhile, Mbaye's price has fallen from £45 million to £30 million.
When combined, the total cost for this double transfer could be around £155 million.
This development comes on the back of PSG bolstering their attack with new signings Magnus Ackliush, Ferran Torres, and Mika Godts.
