Kaoru Mitoma is determined to leave Brighton upon the expiration of his contract. According to Teamtalk, Liverpool and Tottenham could initiate talks with the 29-year-old's representatives at the start of 2027.
The Japanese winger’s current deal with the Seagulls runs until June 2027, but he has no intention of signing an extension. Brighton's hierarchy, for their part, have made it clear they won’t be letting the player leave during the winter transfer window.
The discussions surrounding Mitoma's future were already prominent last summer. Despite manager Fabian Hürzeler's previous confidence in securing a new deal for the talented winger, circumstances have evidently shifted.
While recovering from injury, Mitoma has reportedly received offers and interest from several clubs participating in the Champions League.
As one of the top earners at Brighton, his weekly wages are estimated at around £80,000.
