Real Madrid are weighing up a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah. Reports indicate that Arsenal made an attempt to secure the services of the 23-year-old England international for £55 million, but that offer was snubbed by the Bundesliga side.
According to BILD, Real's manager Jose Mourinho is keen on bolstering his defensive options in 2027. An added incentive for the Spanish giants is Quansah's close friendship with Real midfielder Jude Bellingham, stemming from their time together in the national team setup.
However, Liverpool could pose a significant obstacle for Real. The Reds retained a buyback clause on Quansah, with reports suggesting the fee will stand at £70 million. This amount is expected to drop to £52 million in the summer of 2027, potentially prompting the Merseyside club to reclaim their former academy product, especially with Virgil van Dijk's future in doubt.
