Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf believes the club must part ways with Enzo Fernandez before the transfer window slams shut. Manchester City are keen on the midfielder, with Enzo Maresca looking to bring him on board.
Speaking on ESPN, Leboeuf remarked:
I think Enzo Fernandez will leave. There’s the example of Julian Alvarez. The club can fight to keep the player, but if he wants to go, they need to let him. Otherwise, he won't be able to give his all — including mentally — to the team.
The Frenchman continued:
I don’t think anyone wants Enzo Fernandez to stay. It’s time for him to move on because he himself has made that decision known, and he hinted last season that he wanted to leave.
Leboeuf concluded:

The future of the 25-year-old Argentine remains uncertain as the transfer window approaches its conclusion. Chelsea value Fernandez at over £120 million and are considering a move for Lamine Kamara from Monaco as a potential replacement.
