Former Chelsea player John Obi Mikel is confident that midfielder Adam Warton of Crystal Palace will join Manchester United in 2027. Due to his long-term contract, United will have to pay a significant fee for the midfielder.

Former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel believes Manchester United will secure the signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Warton in 2027.

Speaking on the Obi One podcast, the ex-footballer showered praise on the young English talent.

“I love him! I’m a big, big fan of Adam Warton,” Mikel stated enthusiastically.

“I think he’s going to go far, although I believe he’ll leave Crystal Palace next season. I can see him moving to Manchester United next season,” he added.

Warton is under a long-term contract with Crystal Palace, which runs until the end of June 2029.

This means that should United pursue the midfielder, they'll need to fork out a hefty sum to lure him away from their Premier League rivals.
