Manchester City have reached a complete agreement to sign Everton's attacking midfielder and winger Iliman Ndiaye. The announcement was made by esteemed football insider Fabrizio Romano, who shared the news with his notable phrase 'Here we go'.
The clubs have agreed on a total transfer fee of £65 million for the 26-year-old Senegal international, with City already receiving official permission to conduct a medical examination for the player.
The personal terms of the contract with Ndiaye were settled earlier, placing the transfer in its final stages of legal formalities.
This decisive move by the Manchester side follows Liverpool's firm rejection of a proposal that could have reached £80 million for Dutch forward Cody Gakpo, who remains at Anfield.
Ndiaye joined Everton in the summer of 2024 from French side Marseille for approximately £15 million. During his time with the Toffees, the forward has played 73 matches in all competitions, netting 17 goals and providing 4 assists.
