Everton are weighing up a move for striker Mauro Icardi, who is currently a free agent following his departure from Galatasaray last summer.
The 33-year-old forward left the Turkish club and has yet to find a new team.
According to TEAMtalk, Icardi is open to a switch to the Toffees, although discussions are still in the early stages.
Everton missed out on signing Monaco's Folarin Balogun on transfer deadline day, leaving manager David Moyes short on attacking depth. Currently, the team is heavily relying on Tierney Barry for goals.
Moyes has previously mentioned that the club would explore the free agent market, and Icardi could be an excellent option to bolster the squad ahead of January.
Everton have made a decent start to the new Premier League season, securing one win and two draws, including an exciting 2-2 encounter with Manchester United.
