Chelsea are preparing an unusual return to their traditions. Nike is set to incorporate green into one of the London club's kits for the 2027/28 season.
The design is expected to feature a bright shade of Electric Green, complemented by the club's signature Deep Royal Blue. The dark blue will appear in the club's crest, the Nike logo, sponsor elements, and various design details.
At this stage, it remains unclear whether the green kit will be used as the away or third strip for Chelsea. An official announcement is anticipated in the summer of 2027.
The return of green is set to be a significant event for the club, as it was last used in the 2006/07 season. Back then, Chelsea sported a bright green away kit from Adidas, featuring dark blue accents and their sponsor Samsung. Now, two decades later, green could once again take a prominent place in the alternative kit of the London club.
