Chelsea have launched the documentary I Am Estevao, chronicling the rise of Estevao Willian from youth football in Brazil to the London club. The film is now exclusively available on the CFC+ platform.
The documentary follows the journey of the 19-year-old winger, starting from his hometown of Franca, through the youth systems of Santos and Palmeiras, before making the move to England. It highlights his standout performances, including a memorable goal against Barcelona and notable moments in matches against Liverpool.
Featuring interviews with Estevao's family, his early coaches, and former Chelsea players Thiago Silva and David Luiz, the film offers insights into the development of the young Brazilian and his footballing talents.
Estevao also recalls a FIFA Club World Cup match where he played for Palmeiras against Chelsea in 2025, just before he was set to join the London side.
"Playing against my future club was something unbelievable. After the match, I felt very welcomed," the player shared.
The documentary reveals more personal stories, including Estevao's initial struggles to communicate with Cole Palmer, aided at the time by someone fluent in Spanish and Portuguese who acted as his translator.
The release of I Am Estevao allows fans to not only witness Estevao's exciting moments on the pitch but also to meet the people who have supported him throughout his career. For Chelsea, it's a chance to tell the story of one of the club's most promising young talents.
