Al-Ittihad is currently in negotiations with Sunderland for the transfer of winger Shemsdin Talbi. With the transfer window still open in Saudi Arabia, there is a good chance this move could materialise.

According to Sky Sports journalists Lyall Thomas and Keith Downie, the 21-year-old has been left out of Sunderland's European squad specifically due to the ongoing discussions with the Saudi club.

Talbi joined Sunderland from Brugge last summer for a fee of £18 million and has been representing Morocco on the international stage.

However, Al-Ittihad is not the only club showing interest. Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are also keen on the winger.

At this stage, no agreement has been reached between Sunderland and Al-Ittihad.
