Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is keen on securing another new face before the transfer window shuts. Although the Italian coach didn't disclose the target, he affirmed that the club aims to boost a specific position.
This week, Tottenham has already signed Savinho and secured a loan deal for Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, with an obligation to buy.
De Zerbi expressed his surprise at how the transfer window has unfolded:
I didn’t expect us to have such a transfer window. I think we can sign one more player for a specific position.
The coach also shared that plans for the remainder of the transfer window were discussed in detail with the club's hierarchy.
De Zerbi added:
We had dinner yesterday with the owners, Johan Lange and Vinay Venkatesham, and talked about this. We’re all looking in the same direction, and there’s a good understanding between us.
However, De Zerbi did not specify which position Tottenham aims to strengthen before the window closes.
