Fulham midfielder Oscar Bobb expressed his emotions following the team's 1-0 victory over Coventry City in the eighth round of the Premier League. The Norwegian scored the only goal of the match in the 80th minute, helping his side secure back-to-back wins.
'It took a long time coming. Thankfully, everything clicked today, especially with our away fans present. It’s an incredible feeling. Playing away is never easy, so it’s great to grab three points again and clinch two victories in a row,' Bobb told Sky Sports.
The midfielder also admitted that it had been a while since he found the net in the league, making this goal particularly significant for him.
'I hadn’t scored in the league for a long time, so it feels like I’ve finally broken the duck. It’s lovely to see the fans celebrating with me. The emotions are incredible, but the most important thing is the team’s win,' the midfielder noted.
Bobb explains what helped Fulham secure the result
Bobb pointed out that even in matches where the team struggled or drew, they demonstrated their capability to play well and dominate against strong opponents.
'In our last few matches, we’ve had a bit of luck, and that’s helped us earn three points. But we’ve always believed in ourselves. We started the season with six games without a win, yet we continued to trust we were heading in the right direction and playing as we should,' the midfielder emphasised.
The victory over Coventry City enabled Fulham to maintain their successful streak and boost the team's confidence following a challenging start to the season.
